Hello World! (cupping hand to my ear and listening to the echo)
This is Infinite Daydreamer reporting for duty and here is a little about me. My name is Emilia.
Not enough? Hmm, alright then, let’s try that again.
My name is Emilia, I am a Pisces (hence the infinite daydreamer title) and I am a Wanderer. At least I believe my soul is. I haven’t had the luxury to travel as much as I would like to. So, I decided to be a different type of wanderer and explore the random ventures my heart asks for.
Besides that, I tend to be very random. I am creative, intuitive, and always looking for ways to express my individuality. I love seeking out new experiences and all forms of art, music, and self-expression. And surprise, surprise! Writing is my favorite form of self-expression.
I believe writing is an art that is undervalued and underused; especially in our modern world where e-mail, skyping, emoji and text message abbreviations have run rampant. It is as if the internet is Gizmo and someone made a mistake and wet him; the Mogwai multiplied. Many great advances have been made since the introduction of the internet and the updating of cell phones. I, for one, was not fond of the blocks we called cellphones. Also, chatting online is much more fun with emoji instead of plain black and white text. But somewhere along the line the one crucial rule of caring for the Mogwai — Do not feed after Midnight — was broken. And so the Gremlins of the technological generation have been created. We have created monsters! Alright, let me take a few Ujjayi breaths (for my yogis) and relax. This is a topic for another blog post.
Writing has always been a passion of mine; whether it was poetry, short-story, journals, articles for random projects, or research papers while in school. I love to write! So I’ve decided to write. Now I am blogging, more for my entertainment than for yours (lol). In all honesty, I wish to share my experiences so that you are able to have some laughs at my expense and find the last bit of courage to try that new thing you’ve been putting off for so long. I hope you will involve yourself, share your adventures with me, give pointers on how to do it better the next go round, or even give new ideas to for me to explore. Lastly, I hope you find enjoyment in the random posts that you will find within the pages of Wanderer.
